The Martlets Messenger
Edition Number One: Christmas 2003
To:
All Our Feline Guests
and their,
Human Staff
T
HIS IS THE first edition of our
Martlets Messenger
Newsletter, and my first flirtation
with writing one. Please be patient - I will get the hang of it! The aim is to keep
our Clients abreast of changes at Martlets Cattery, and to include an item in each
edition for your interest and/or amusement - all with a feline theme, I hasten to add.
The first is a serious one about one of my enemies - the flea! If you have any
contributions for future editions, small articles, about
your own
cat's
experiences at home, or in cattery; problems you have encountered and maybe solved,
or just stories about the sheer joy of owning cats, please share them with us all, by
sending them to Martlets Cattery for inclusion in
The Martlets Messenger
Newsletter,
E-mails are ideal.
THE MOST IMPORTANT task in this, the Christmas edition, is to enclose Martlets
Christmas cards, wish you all the
"Compliments of the Season
", and to thank you all
for
your
valued custom again this year. Martlets Cattery goes from strength to
strength and is now having capacity problems - more on that later. Trevor and I take
immense pleasure in caring for your cats - they are dear loving characters - but you do
not need me to tell you that! Some will be joining us for the Festive Season and we
are planning a delicious Christmas dinner, and Father Christmas never forgets us on
"The Morning
". Anyway, I always leave a sign out so that he cannot miss us!

W
E HAVE A
new puppy. She is a
chocolate Labrador called Tess,
very cute and very naughty. As you
will realise, Coldharbour Road is very
busy and very fast. Consequently we
have fitted a field gate
IT IS WELL lit, but very solid. Please
feel free to open it and use Martlets
car park, but we would be grateful if
you would close the gate behind you to
protect our baby.
